Starting life at the beginning of 2015, Mt Doubt is the project of Edinburgh-based musician Leo Bargery. As a one man project, he released initial singles 'Feathers' and 'Asunder' which gained airplay on the likes of Amazing Radio, XFM, while album track 'Leap' received airplay on BBC Radio Scotland on the Vic Galloway Show.

Those singles were only the tip of the iceberg, as Mt Doubt's debut album 'My Past Is A Quiet Beast' would prove. Self released, 'My Past is a Quiet Beast' is a moody, introspective work that combines often morose and sombre lyrics with a big sound. Full on quiet-loud-quiet dynamics, hammering guitars, and the amazing production talents of Mark Morrow (The Winter Tradition). Conversely there’s also times where the songs are stripped back to their bare bones, pairing Bargery’s mature and allegorical writing with bold and sombre soundscapes.

Comparison's have been made to The National, Arcade Fire, Bruce Springsteen, The Twilight Sad, and The War on Drugs. For Bargery, the real joy lies in getting between these influences and creating something personal and real.
